Cross’ secret lies in the Space Frame concept, which through the welding of special tube, made of stainless steel and aluminum, produces a truly innovative structure, not only in shape and functionality, but also and above all in the intrinsic technological contents and in the research of space usually unused. We have also tried to give these stretchers an aesthetic and distinctive look. The possibility to have a vast choice of colors increases the possibility of linking/combination, to which special customizations can be added for adequate quantities. The Cross stretcher is supplied with two straps model STX 702. The dynamic and professional character of the new Cross can be completed with optional, the retractable drip carrier, the standing brake and the super protected tank carrier. All of this is possible on one stretcher for those who want everything.

The importance of a patient’s calm and positive psychological attitude is recognized as one of the key factors for good results for the rescue and transport. Consequently, the stretcher must, where possible, lose its mechanical connotations and become a close and helpful object, more of a partner rather than a hostile device employed by the necessity of the moment or infirmity. The Spencer team, manufacturers of rescue and patient transport devices, has dedicated special attention to the relationship between the patient and the stretcher, the patient and the operator and the operator and the stretcher. Everything in order to realize an ergonomically viable product even in uncomfortable physical, psychological and environmental conditions, achieving success even in the most intense operative situations.

That is why we conceived the polychromatisation of an indispensable instrument such as the stretcher, because rescue operators are not only technicians and professionals, but also people who are aware of what is around them. In one word, color is synonym of aggregation, of recognition of signs and clothing. Why, therefore, should we not also mark with a sign the other instruments used in the world of rescue, where groups are numerous and colors important? Well, with color Spencer has managed to create an instrument that is not only avant-garde, but also recognizable and personalized with its own chromatic signature. We have overcome every technical, functional and structural problem to create the Cross which is one of a kind and new in its invention. We also confronted an aspect that has been, to date, somewhat neglected: the problem of identification, personality and individuality of the stretcher; only colors can contribute to a solution. The range of colours allows for 56 variations which reflect the intense and deep personality of the Cross, adding to an already established individuality. The variable trim runners, the bumpers in expansive polyurethane and the joints are all black and create a harmonious synergy with the paintwork of the frame.
